Functional Skills
Functional Skills qualifications are designed to provide learners with practical skills in English, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Mathematics which will help them to ‘function' confidently, effectively and independently in their work and personal life.
Functional Skills qualifications offer learners the chance to gain useful, transferable skills and will eventually replace Key Skills in Communication, Application of Number and ICT. They'll also be constituent elements of the new Foundation, Higher and Advanced Diplomas.
NCFE currently offer the following Functional Skills qualifications:
• NCFE Entry Level Award in Functional Skills English
• NCFE Entry Level Award in Functional Skills Mathematics
• NCFE Entry Level Award in Functional Skills Information and Communication Technology
• NCFE Level 1 Award in Functional Skills English
• NCFE Level 2 Award in Functional Skills English
